We have an exciting year ahead and would love for you to be part of it. The Peace Foundation thrives thanks to our volunteers, members, and supporters. Your membership fees and donations enable us to promote peace through the arts.
Creative Australia recently decided to remove artist Khaled Sabsadi and curator Michael Dagostino from their roles at the Venice Biennale. This decision highlights the growing importance of the Arts Peace Award, which supports artists in promoting peace and understanding.
As the 2019 Arts Peace Award recipient, Daz Chandler (pictured with Ahmed Salama) highlighted at last year’s Art for Peace book launch, creatives face precarity and censorship when addressing political and social issues. As a supporter, your contribution supports artists who raise awareness and inspire action for peace, human rights, social justice and environmental sustainability.
In 2025, we will:
- present the annual $10,000 Arts Peace Award to support new and impactful work
- support the Adelaide Fringe with the Sustainability Award, celebrating artistic excellence and sustainability
- deliver the Kaurna Reconciliation Walk: Bridging Now to Next guided tours to foster respectful relationships
- commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings.

* CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
- Every membership purchase (new and renewal) for the year 1 March 2025 to 28 February 2026 and received before 1 March 2025 will be eligible for the lucky draw.
- The prize is one invitation for the member and their partner/guest to attend an invite-only sharing of Josh and Sophia Don’t Play Together Anymore work in progress.
- The date of the work-in-progress sharing is to be finalised at the discretion of ActNow Theatre.
- The work-in-progress sharing will be held at Flinders University, Bedford Park.
- The attending member and their guest must be over 18 years old.
- The invitation may be transferred only by negotiation with the Graham F Smith Peace Foundation.
