Working for Peace Through the Arts

We support all forms of artistic expression (including literature, music, performing arts, visual arts, craft, design, film, video, television, radio, community arts, Aboriginal arts and cultural heritage) to tell stories that matter and make a difference.

Working for peace through the arts, the Peace Foundation:

  • awards one annual Major Grant of up to $10,000 and minor grants of up to $2,000
  • partners with other South Australian arts organisations to recognise artistic endeavour that supports the Peace Foundation’s objectives (Peace Award for the Adelaide Fringe Festival, SACE Peace Award)
  • partners with Aboriginal artists to support works of cultural significance (including the Kaurna Reconciliation Sculptures and the Kaurna Reconciliation Walk)
  • collaborates with South Australian schools to support students and educators in producing their artistic expression of peace in their lives (Peace Rules).

We are a South Australia-based not-for-profit organisation run entirely by volunteers.
