We are looking for a treasurer
The Treasurer is a volunteer board member who is responsible for prudently managing the Peace Foundation’s financial affairs.
On a day-to-day basis, the Treasurer:
Monitors our income, ensures our bills are paid on time, invoices our creditors and acknowledges payments to us, including donations.
Manages our financial records for good administration, compliance, and audit purposes.
Prepares an annual budget for the approval of the board and regularly presents it year-to-date financial reports
Presents the annual financial report to the AGM, with the auditor, including the Statement of Income and Expenditure and the Statement of Financial Position.
Liaises closely with our bankers, our investment partners, and our auditors.
The Treasurer offers strategic advice to the board on the sustainability of the Peace Foundation’s finances for its current and future purposes.
The Peace Foundation utilises Xero accounting software, and Square is our preferred payment system.
This position will provide an opportunity for an enthusiastic and suitably qualified person to work collaboratively with a team that is committed, passionate, generous, unpretentious, fun-loving, and who work together to make a positive difference.
Location of Office -213 Gover Street, North Adelaide 5006.
Time commitment: 6 x board meetings per year of one to one and half hours duration and an AGM of about two hours. From time to time other fundraising or social events
We do not necessarily require prior board experience as the incumbent can provide support and help as required, and there is an induction program.

People who become involved with the Peace Foundation have an interest in social justice, human rights, arts, caring for the earth and making the world a more peaceful place.
Thanks to the generosity, hard work and dedication of our volunteers, we are able to run events and raise money to continue working for peace through the arts. You can donate your time and skills to the Peace Foundation by volunteering for working groups or in areas like administration, marketing, fundraising, event assistance, Kaurna Walk Guides or any other talent you may have!
