Remembering Hiroshima and Nagasaki: 

The first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima at 8.15 am on 6 August 1945. With the escalation of war around the world and Australia’s military role, we came together for peace.

Special guest speaker Adelaide Deputy Lord Mayor Keiran Snape spoke eloquently about the City of Adelaide joining the ICAN Cities Appeal and called on the government to sign and ratify the Nuclear Weapon Ban Treaty.

 

 

Our music interlude featured violinist Amanda Ruler, National Vice President of the Medical Association for Prevention of War Nation.
