Peace Rules Film Focus 2020

In 2020 the Peace Rules Showcase has been re-imagined for our COVID19 world, presenting an opportunity for secondary performing and creative teachers and students to create a film in schools.

In partnership with Dance Hub SA and Ausdance SA who created the DanceFilmFocus for independent choreographers, the Peace Foundation has designed a complimentary project for secondary schools to engage with screen performing arts.

Five secondary school teams have been selected to receive $500 each to create their films with concepts based on Peace Foundation/Peace Rules themes. We congratulate these schools and look forward to viewing their peace films:

  • Blackwood High School
  • Caritas College (Pt Augusta)
  • Charles Campbell College
  • Henley High School
  • Para Hills High School

In the environment which has been created by Covid-19 restrictions, this is a wonderful opportunity to develop the students’ skills in innovative ways observing distancing rules.

The commissioned multi-modal/ dance films will be premiered by Dance Hub SA in 2020 during August under the title Dance.Focus. Digital details and the opening launch will be announced through social media platforms.

We profoundly thank our generous sponsors for contributing to this project: Suzanne Elliott Charitable Trust, Australian Education Union, Ausdance SA and Dance Hub SA.
