Kaurna Walking Trail

Working for Peace Through the Arts

The Kaurna Walking Trail, developed in association with the Kaurna Reconciliation Sculptures, was planned in collaboration with the Kaurna people, the traditional owners and custodians of the Adelaide plains.

The trail invites reflection on Kaurna life before European settlement and explores the impact of this settlement on Aboriginal people. The first 17 sites can be viewed in a 2-3 hour walk beginning at the Kaurna Reconciliation Sculptures located at the King William Street entrance of Adelaide Festival Centre.

The trail can also be used by schools and organisations for cultural awareness training. Schools and organisations wishing to undertake cultural awareness training with a guided tour of the Kaurna Walk should contact the Foundation at contact@artspeacefoundation.org.
